We had an amazing stay at the holiday homes in Hveragerdi. The cabins were spacious and had fantastic views, plus the hot tub was a highlight. The location was ideal for exploring the Golden Circle and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel breakfast menu could use some improvement, perhaps by offering a wider variety of options.

The house was incredibly warm even in freezing temperatures. The location was perfect for exploring the golden circle and close to supermarkets. The hot tub was a great addition and the kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. The house felt private and secluded, offering beautiful views. Plus, the upstairs bedroom window was perfect for catching a glimpse of the northern lights if you were lucky.
The beds and bunk beds were not the most comfortable. The smell of sulphide in the water was a bit unpleasant, but it was mentioned in advance.

We got great value for our money at these holiday homes. The room was cozy and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. The location was peaceful and quiet, yet still conveniently connected to everything we wanted to see and do. The staff were friendly and helpful, even letting us stay longer at no extra cost due to our night flight.
Menu for breakfast could've been more varied.

The cabin was cozy and located in a peaceful area surrounded by nature. The beds were comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The hot tub was a great addition, providing a relaxing and enjoyable experience. the host was friendly and provided us with helpful information about the property and area attractions.
The bathroom in the cabin was outdated and not as clean as expected. The water had a strong sulphur smell, which made showering unpleasant.

The cabin we stayed in was well equipped and very clean. We were lucky to see the aurora on 2 of the 4 nights we stayed, we could literally watch it from our bedroom window. The location of the cabin was perfect, situated on a quiet country road, providing a peaceful and romantic escape. the beds were soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.
the rooms were a bit small, making it challenging to navigate around the double beds. This meant we had to climb over each other to visit the bathroom at night.

I recently stayed at Gljufurbustathir Holiday Homes for a weekend getaway. The location is perfect for exploring the golden circle, and the views are absolutely beautiful. The cozy atmosphere and hot tub were a bonus, providing ultimate relaxation and privacy. The staff, especially Stefan, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, even assisting us in recovering our car from heavy snow. The highlight of our stay was listening to Jon's magnificent voice on his CD, creating a fantastic atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this gem of a location.

My stay at Gljufurbustathir was incredibly relaxing. Despite heavy snowfall, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. Stefan, in particular, used his tractor to help me out of a sticky situation and even arrived early in the morning to ensure I made it to the airport on time. The hot tub was an absolute gem, offering ultimate privacy and stunning views. The cabin itself was fully equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing break, including cooking facilities, comfortable beds, and a barbecue. The location was both secluded and conveniently close to amenities. a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend.
Do recommend this hotel.
